Is a rearview bike camera worth it?

It helps most if you ride in traffic or can't turn your head easily, such as on a recumbent, cargo bike or e-bike. If you already use a bar-end mirror and shoulder-check comfortably, the gain is smaller.

Does it work at night?

It has color night vision, which helps on dim roads, but image quality drops in full darkness. Pair it with a rear light for both visibility and a clearer picture.

Is it really waterproof?

It carries an IP68 rating, meaning it is sealed against dust and sustained water immersion. That covers rain and splashes; don't pressure-wash the lens or seals.

What do I need to use it?

A display or compatible head unit to view the live feed, plus a power source, since it is wired. Check that the cable reaches from the rear mount to your bars before buying.

The mount is a screw-on universal type with a 360° adjustable stand, so it fits most seatposts and frames. Very thick aero seatposts or unusual tube shapes may need an adapter.
