Our take on the Shed Liquidators Sydney Wooden Storage Shed

The Shed Liquidators Sydney is a 10 ft by 10 ft wooden storage shed sold as a pre-cut DIY kit. It has 6 ft sidewalls, double doors, a locking T-handle, and a 6/12 roof slope rated for 30 lbs per square foot of roof load and 115 mph winds. The floor is treated framing with OSB decking, and the walls use 2x3 framing with LP siding. It is a mid-size backyard shed aimed at buyers who want more room than a resin box store but will handle assembly themselves.

Best forHomeowners needing room for long-handled tools and lawn equipmentBuyers who want a wooden shed and will assemble it themselvesBackyards that see high windsStoring bikes, mowers and bulky gear behind lockable double doors
Pros
  • Full 10x10 footprint gives about 80 sq ft of floor space
  • 6 ft sidewalls leave headroom for shelves and tall items
  • Double doors make it easy to wheel in mowers and carts
  • Locking T-handle adds basic security
  • 115 mph wind rating and 30 lbs/sq ft roof load are solid for a wood kit
  • Pre-cut parts shorten assembly versus building from scratch
Cons
  • OSB floor decking is vulnerable to moisture if it stays wet
  • Shingles for the roof are optional, so roofing cost is extra
  • No insulation or climate control; not a finished workspace
  • Kit delivery is curbside only, and professional installation costs extra
  • Wood siding needs periodic sealing or painting to last

Questions and answers

Is the Sydney shed worth it compared with a resin shed?
If you want a wood structure with a real floor and a 10x10 footprint, the kit price is competitive. Resin sheds cost less and need no painting, but they are usually smaller and feel less solid.
How hard is it to assemble?
It ships as a pre-cut kit, so assembly is mostly fastening panels and framing rather than cutting lumber. Two people should plan on a full weekend or more, and professional installation is available at extra cost.
Does the roof come with shingles?
No. Shingles are optional, so budget for roofing material on top of the kit price. The 6/12 slope sheds water well once shingled.
Can it handle strong winds?
It is rated to 115 mph maximum wind resistance. That assumes correct anchoring to a level base, which matters more than the rating itself.
What is included in the box?
You get pre-cut components, the 2x3 wall framing, LP siding, treated floor framing with OSB decking, double doors and the locking T-handle. Roof shingles are not included.
When is the best time to buy?
Shed kit prices tend to dip in late fall and winter, outside the spring building season. Compare the current price against its recent range before ordering.
