Do these bags really compress clothes?

Yes, for soft items. A second zip pulls the sides together and squeezes out air, which works best on shirts, socks and light layers. Stiff or bulky items like shoes compress little.

No. The listing states they are not waterproof, so keep liquids and wet items out of them.

How many bags come in the set?

Six. The set is one size assortment in beige, and the bags fold flat when empty.

Is $12.99 a good price?

It is the best new price found as of November 7, 2026, and sits at the low end of the recent range across the two stores listing it. At about $2 per bag, it is a low-risk buy.

Will they fit in a carry-on?

Yes. The bags are sized for standard carry-on suitcases, and compressing them leaves room for more. Check the packed dimensions before filling them to the limit.

How do they compare with name-brand packing cubes?

They cost far less but use thinner fabric and zips. Expect a season or two of light use rather than years of heavy travel.
