Is this bag big enough for a laptop?

Yes. At roughly 17.7 inches wide and 13.4 tall, a 15-inch laptop fits with room to spare. The thin fabric means you should use a sleeve for protection.

No. The listing says polyester, so expect a synthetic canvas look that is lighter and less durable than cotton canvas.

Does it have a shoulder strap?

No. It is a top-handle bag only, so it is carried by hand or hooked over the forearm.

Is the magnetic closure secure?

Not very. It keeps the bag shut for casual use but will not stop pickpockets or keep contents in if the bag tips over.

Is $12.98 a good price?

It is the only new price listed, $12.98 at SHEIN as of November 7, 2026, so there is nothing to compare it with. For a bag this size, that is inexpensive.

Spot clean with a damp cloth. Machine washing a stiff polyester tote with a tassel and magnetic hardware can warp the shape and damage the closure.

Our take on the Shein Fashionable Large Capacity Letter & Tassel Canvas Tote Bag

A large pink tote from Shein with a canvas-look polyester body, a front letter graphic and a tassel charm. It measures about 17.7 by 13.4 by 5.1 inches, so it swallows a laptop, gym kit or a week of errands, and closes with a magnetic lock. The only new price listed is $12.98 at SHEIN as of November 7, 2026, with no other store to compare against. At that price it is a cheap, roomy carry-all rather than a durable everyday bag.
