Is the Sideline 60 worth it?

If you want a wide, flush-mounted flame feature with smart controls, it is a strong pick at $649 at Best Buy as of November 4, 2026. Treat it as ambiance plus supplemental heat, not a whole-room heater.

How much space will it actually heat?

It is rated at 5,000 BTU and 1,500 W for up to about 400 square feet. Owners report it warms a small area well but struggles in large open rooms.

Can it be plugged in or does it need hardwiring?

Either works. It runs on standard 120V and can be plugged into an outlet or hardwired for a cleaner look.

What comes in the box?

The fireplace unit, faux log, clear crystals, remote control (batteries not included), mounting bracket and hardware, and an installation guide.

Does it work with Alexa or Google Home?

Yes. It is Wi-Fi enabled and compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, and a remote is also included.

How does it compare with the Sideline 50?

The 60 gives you a wider glass frame and viewing area for a bigger accent wall. Heat output is the same class, so the upgrade is mostly about size and visual impact.
