Is it worth it for a family?

Yes if you want a cheap, simple machine for occasional singing. If you sing often, a system with better speakers and wireless mics is worth the extra.

Does it work without a TV?

CD+G lyrics display on a connected TV, so you need a screen to follow the words. MP3 tracks play audio only unless they include graphics.

What comes in the box?

Typically the console and a wired microphone; check the listing for the exact bundle, since some versions add a second mic or cables.

Can I use my own MP3s?

Yes, it plays MP3 karaoke files, usually from a USB drive or disc depending on the model. Standard MP3s without lyric tracks will not show words.

How does it compare with newer Singing Machine models?

Newer models add Bluetooth, wireless mics and app support. This console is the simpler, cheaper option if you only need disc and MP3 playback.

Karaoke systems usually drop around Black Friday and before the holidays. Track the price history and buy when it sits near its recent low.

Our take on the Singing Machine Studio Karaoke System

The Singing Machine Studio Karaoke System is a home console that plays CD+G and MP3 karaoke tracks and is light enough to move between rooms. It is a basic, plug-in-and-sing machine rather than a full PA setup, so it suits casual family use. No current price was supplied, so check the latest best price against its recent range before buying.
