Can an 8' x 10' rug really go in a washing machine?

Yes, it is labeled machine washable. Check your washer's drum capacity first; a large 8' x 10' rug may need a commercial or oversized machine.

Is it soft enough for a living room?

It has a low 0.2-inch pile, so it is more flat than plush. Add a rug pad if you want cushioning underfoot.

Will it slide on hardwood floors?

The rubber backing helps grip hard floors. On smooth surfaces a pad still adds stability and comfort.

Is it good for homes with pets?

The washable design and low pile make it easier to clean pet hair and accidents than a thick rug. It is indoor use only.

What sizes does it come in?

This listing is the 8' x 10' rectangle. Check the brand's other listings for smaller sizes if you need a runner or accent rug.

Our take on the Sixhome 8' x 10' Washable Vintage Floral Area Rug

The Sixhome Washable Vintage Floral Area Rug is an 8' x 10' machine-made rug with a low 0.2-inch pile and a rubber backing. Its main draw is that it can go in a washing machine, which is rare for a rug this size. It weighs about 2 lb, so it is thin and easy to move. At 4.2 out of 5 from 25 ratings, reception is decent but limited.
