Is this rug actually machine washable at 8'x10'?

Yes, it is labeled washable, but an 8'x10' rug needs a large-capacity or commercial machine. Many home washers top out around 4.5 cu ft and cannot fit it. Spot clean first and check your drum size before washing.

Does it need a rug pad?

No. It has a non-slip backing, so a pad is optional on hard floors. A thin pad still adds cushioning and helps it lie flat faster after unrolling.

Will it work over carpet?

The non-slip backing grips hard floors best. Over wall-to-wall carpet it can shift, so add a pad or rug tape.

How does it hold up with pets?

The stain-resistant synthetic pile and washability help with accidents and muddy paws. The light ivory color will show dirt sooner than a dark rug, so vacuum often.

What size room does 8'x10' fit?

It suits a living room with a sofa and chairs or a dining table for six. In a bedroom it works under a queen bed with nightstands on the rug.

Washable rugs tend to drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales, and larger sizes see the deepest cuts. Compare across stores before buying.

Our take on the Sixhome 8'x10' Botanical Washable Boho Floral Birds Area Rug

The Sixhome 8'x10' Botanical rug is a large, machine-washable area rug in ivory with a boho floral and bird pattern. It has a non-slip backing and a stain-resistant synthetic pile, so it suits busy living rooms and dining areas. At 8'x10' it covers most of a standard living room seating group or fits under a queen bed. It is an affordable, low-maintenance pick rather than a wool heirloom.
