Is the Skechers Cankton a real safety shoe?

Yes. The steel toe meets ASTM F2413 impact and compression standards, and the shoe is also rated electrical hazard safe under the same standard.

Does it fit true to size?

Most buyers take their usual Skechers size. Because it is a slip-on with a molded heel panel, some find it roomier than a laced work shoe, so try it on with the socks you wear on shift.

Is it good for standing all day?

The Air-Cooled Memory Foam insole and shock-absorbing midsole are built for long shifts on hard floors. If you need more arch support, add an aftermarket insole.

No. The leather, synthetic and mesh upper is breathable but not waterproof, so it is not the best pick for wet outdoor work.

Our take on the Skechers Cankton Steel Toe

The Skechers Cankton is a slip-on work shoe with a steel safety toe that meets ASTM F2413 impact and compression standards, plus an electrical hazard rating. It pairs a leather, synthetic and mesh upper with a Hands Free Slip-ins molded heel panel, so you step in without bending down, and an Air-Cooled Memory Foam insole over a shock-absorbing midsole. A lug-patterned outsole handles traction on hard floors and uneven ground. The best new price is $48.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, the only price on record, so there is no recent range to compare against yet.
