Our take on the Solpowben Magnetic Wireless Charger 15W Max Fast Charging Pad

The Solpowben Magnetic Wireless Charger is a small circular pad that snaps onto the back of MagSafe-compatible iPhones and charges at up to 15W. It has a fold-out bracket on the back so the phone can stand upright while charging, and it connects by USB-C. It ships without a power adapter, so you need your own 20W-or-higher USB-C charger to reach full speed.

Best foriPhone 12 and newer owners who want a MagSafe-style padDesk or nightstand use with the kickstandTravelers who want a small, light charger
Pros
  • Magnets hold the phone in place and align the coil
  • Fold-out bracket doubles as a stand for video calls or bedside viewing
  • Small and light at 2.26 in across and 0.37 in thick
  • USB-C input works with common cables and adapters
  • Up to 15W on compatible iPhones
Cons
  • No AC adapter in the box, so you must supply a USB-C PD charger
  • Single-device only; no second coil for earbuds or a watch
  • Short 3.28 in cable limits placement
  • Magnetic hold depends on a MagSafe case or bare iPhone
  • iPhone-only compatibility listed; Android phones charge slowly or not at all

Questions and answers

Does it charge at the full 15W?
Only with a compatible iPhone and a USB-C power adapter rated 20W or more, which is not included. With a weaker adapter it drops to 7.5W or lower.
Will it work with an Android phone?
The listing is for iPhone 12 through iPhone 16 series. Android phones with magnets may charge slowly, and phones without magnets will not stay attached.
Do I need a MagSafe case?
No case or a MagSafe-compatible case gives the strongest hold. Thick or non-magnetic cases weaken the grip and can slow charging.
What's in the box?
The charging pad and a short USB-C cable. There is no wall adapter and no power cord.
Can it charge AirPods or an Apple Watch?
No. It is a single-device pad sized for a phone.
Is it worth it over a plain charging cable?
It is worth it if you want a stand and cable-free desk charging for an iPhone. If speed matters most, a wired charger is faster and cheaper.
