Our take on the Solpowben 38800mAh Solar Power Bank with SOS Flashlight

The Solpowben 38800mAh Solar Power Bank is a rugged, high-capacity battery pack with a built-in solar panel and an SOS flashlight, aimed at camping and emergency use. Its headline figure is the large rated capacity, but the 5V/12W output is modest and the solar panel is a trickle charger, not a real way to refill the pack. It is a budget-tier accessory rather than a fast-charging power bank.

Questions and answers

Is the Solpowben 38800mAh Solar Power Bank worth it?
It is a budget option for camping or emergency backup where slow charging is acceptable. If you want fast charging for a phone, a mainstream 10,000–20,000mAh bank with USB-C PD is a better buy.
How fast does it charge a phone?
Output is capped at 5V and 12W, so expect slow charging by current standards. It will top up a phone overnight but not quickly.
Can the solar panel fully recharge it?
No. A panel this size produces only a trickle, so solar is best for slow top-ups in an emergency. Charge it from a wall outlet before a trip.
Does it have USB-C fast charging?
The listed output is 5V at 12W, which is standard slow charging, not USB-C Power Delivery. Check the port labels before buying if fast charging matters to you.
How big and heavy is it?
A pack rated at 38800mAh is bulky and heavy, closer to a small brick than a pocket bank. It suits a backpack, not a pocket.
What is in the box?
Typically the power bank and a charging cable; check the listing for the exact cable type. A wall adapter is usually not included.
What do buyers say about the Solpowben 38800mAh Solar Power Bank with SOS Flashlight?
Rated 3.3 out of 5 from 225 ratings.
