Is the Songmics laundry basket worth $39.99?

At $39.99 at Best Buy as of November 8, 2026, you pay mostly for the steel frame and wheels. If lifting a full hamper is the problem, that is a fair price; a plain fabric bag costs less but will not roll.

How big is it and how much laundry does it hold?

It is 19.7 inches wide and weighs 5.6 lb. That width takes a standard family load, roughly a week of clothes for one or two people, without dominating a closet.

Do the wheels work on carpet?

Small casters roll best on hard floors and low-pile carpet. On thick carpet or over rugs and thresholds they can drag, so lift it slightly at those spots.

Does it have a lid or a removable liner?

The listing does not mention a lid or liner. Expect an open-top basket with a fabric body over the steel frame, so contents stay visible.

Can it be folded when not in use?

The steel frame is rigid, so it does not collapse like a pop-up bag. Plan on keeping it assembled, though the wheels make it easy to tuck away.

When is the price likely to be lowest?

With only one new price listed, $39.99 at Best Buy as of November 8, 2026, there is no track record to time a drop. Watch for home-organization sales rather than waiting on a pattern.
