Our take on the SONGMICS Laundry Hamper Laundry Basket Laundry Sorter

The SONGMICS Laundry Sorter is a two-section laundry hamper built on a collapsible steel X-frame. It holds 135 liters (about 35.7 gallons) across two bags, so lights and darks stay apart from the moment they come off. The frame measures 26 inches wide, 15.7 inches deep and 27.6 inches tall, and the fabric is water-resistant. It is an open-top sorter with customizable labels and folds flat when not in use.

Cons
  • Open-top design leaves laundry visible and odors uncovered
  • Steel frame and 26-inch width need real floor space
  • Fabric bags can sag when heavily loaded

Questions and answers

Is the SONGMICS Laundry Sorter worth it?
For a family that sorts laundry at the source, yes. Two 67.5L sections and a steel frame cover the job at a low price. If you want a lidded, odor-containing hamper, look elsewhere.
How big is it and where will it fit?
It is 26 inches wide, 15.7 inches deep and 27.6 inches tall. That footprint suits a bedroom corner, bathroom or utility room with open floor space.
Are the bags removable?
Yes. The two fabric bags hang on the X-frame and lift out for carrying to the washer. The frame itself folds flat.
Does it have a lid?
No. It is open-top, so laundry stays visible and odors are not sealed in. That also makes it quicker to toss items in.
What colors does it come in?
Ink Black and Slate Grey. Both use the same water-resistant fabric and steel frame.
When is it cheapest?
Laundry storage like this tends to dip during back-to-school and January organization sales. Check the price history before buying.
