Our take on the SONOMA Goods for Life Indoor Outdoor 2-piece Single Wicker Chair Cushion Set

This is a two-piece cushion set sized for wicker chairs: each cushion is 19 by 19 inches and 5 inches thick, with a sewn-closed polyester cover in a spot pattern and five color choices. The covers are fade resistant and rated for indoor or outdoor use, but they cannot be removed, so cleaning means spot cleaning only. It is a budget-priced house-brand set, and the latest best price sits near the low end of its recent range, so there is little reason to wait for a deeper cut.

Best forDining and bistro wicker chairs on a patio or porchShoppers replacing worn cushions on a set of two chairsAnyone who wants a thick, firm seat pad without paying premium pricesMatching a red, black, gray, green or navy outdoor color scheme
Pros
  • 5-inch thickness gives more padding than most wicker chair pads
  • Sold as a pair, so two chairs are covered in one purchase
  • Fade-resistant polyester holds up to sun on a covered porch
  • Five color options and a subtle spot pattern hide light dirt
  • Sewn-closed cover keeps the fill from shifting or bunching
Cons
  • Cover is not removable and cannot be machine washed
  • Spot clean only, so spills and pet messes are harder to fix
  • 19-inch square fits standard wicker chairs but not larger or rounded seats
  • No ties or straps listed, so cushions can slide on smooth frames
  • Polyester fill can flatten over a season or two of daily use

Questions and answers

Is this cushion set worth it?
For the price, yes. You get two 5-inch-thick cushions for less than most single premium pads, and the fade-resistant fabric suits covered outdoor use. Expect to replace them sooner than a high-end set.
Will these fit my wicker chairs?
They are 19 by 19 inches and 5 inches thick, sized for standard wicker dining and bistro chairs. Measure your seat before buying, since larger or rounded wicker chairs will leave gaps.
Can I wash the covers?
No. The covers are sewn closed and not removable, so the only care option is spot cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap.
How do these compare with name-brand outdoor cushions?
Name-brand sets often use removable, washable covers and denser foam that lasts more seasons. This set costs less and is thicker than many budget pads, but you give up washability and long-term durability.
When is the best time to buy?
Outdoor cushion prices drop at the end of summer and during early fall clearance. The current best price is already near the low end of its recent range, so waiting may not save much.
What comes in the set?
Two sewn-closed chair cushions in the chosen color. No ties, straps or extra covers are included.
