Our take on the SONOMA Goods For Life Maples Estate Border Rug

The Maples Estate Border Rug is a machine-made classic-style rug from Sonoma Goods, sold as a 10 ft by 30 in runner with a 0.5-inch cut pile and a looped border. A non-skid latex backing keeps it in place on hard floors, and it is listed as washable. It is aimed at entryways, bedrooms and living rooms where a traditional border pattern fits.

Questions and answers

Is the Maples Estate Border Rug worth it?
At 4.6 out of 5 from about 3,500 ratings, it is a solid pick for a classic runner. Buy it for the non-skid backing and washable care, not for luxury pile.
Does it stay put on hardwood?
Yes. The latex backing is non-skid, so it grips hard floors without a separate pad.
Can it go in a washing machine?
It is listed as washable, but a 10 ft runner is large. Check your machine's drum size first; a commercial laundromat machine is safer.
Will it fit under a door?
The pile is 0.5 inches, which is thick. Measure door clearance before placing it in a doorway.
What sizes does it come in?
The listing shows a 10 ft by 30 in runner with a 6 ft runner length noted. Confirm the exact size before ordering.
