Is the Sony BRAVIA 6 OLED worth $1,198?

At $1,198 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is a fair price for a 65-inch OLED with four HDMI 2.1 ports and Wi-Fi 6E. Comparable OLEDs often cost more, but only one store lists it, so compare before buying.

How does it compare with the BRAVIA 8 or A80L?

The BRAVIA 6 is Sony's 2026 OLED step below the flagship BRAVIA 8. It keeps OLED contrast and 4K120 gaming but gives up some peak brightness and premium processing of the higher tier.

Does it support 4K120 and VRR for PS5 and Xbox?

Yes. Two of the four HDMI inputs are side-facing, and the set supports 4K120, eARC and ARC, which covers PS5 and Xbox Series X at high frame rates.

You get the TV, the stand feet and screws, a remote, batteries and a power cable. A wall mount is not included; the set uses a 400 x 200 mm VESA pattern.

Yes. It uses a 400 x 200 mm VESA pattern and weighs about 17.3 kg without the stand, so a mount rated for that weight works.

The only price seen since November 1, 2026 is $1,198, so there is no lower recent point yet. Black Friday and Super Bowl windows are the usual times to watch for OLED discounts.
