Our take on the Sony 77 Inch OLED 4K Ultra HD TV BRAVIA XR8B Smart Google TV (K-77XR8B), 2025 Model

The Sony BRAVIA XR8B (K-77XR8B) is a 77-inch 4K OLED TV from Sony's 2025 lineup, with a 120 Hz panel, over 8 million self-lit pixels and an ATSC 3.0 tuner for NextGen TV. It runs Google TV with four HDMI ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LAN, and its 4-way position stand lets you set the screen higher to clear a soundbar. At $2,498 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a 77-inch Sony OLED has cost recently, so this is a strong point in its price history.

Questions and answers

Is the Sony XR8B worth it over a cheaper OLED?
You pay for Sony's processing, the 4-way stand and Google TV. If you mainly watch movies in a dim room, a cheaper OLED gets you most of the picture quality for less.
How does it compare with Sony's A95L or last year's models?
The XR8B is the 2025 set, so it adds the current Google TV software and ATSC 3.0 tuning. Older Sony OLEDs are often discounted more, but stock is limited.
Does it support 4K at 120 Hz for PS5 and Xbox?
Yes. The panel is 120 Hz and there are four HDMI ports, so you can run a console at 4K/120 Hz and still have inputs free for a soundbar and streaming box.
Will the stand fit a soundbar under the screen?
Yes. The 4-way position stand can be set in a raised position so a soundbar fits underneath. Check your soundbar height against the stand settings before you buy.
What is in the box?
The TV, the underlay stand and the mount hardware are included. A wall mount is not; the set uses a 300 x 300 mm VESA pattern if you supply one.
When is it cheapest?
Large OLEDs usually drop around Black Friday and in the spring when new models arrive. At $2,498 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is already near the low end of its recent range.
Where is the Sony 77 Inch OLED 4K Ultra HD TV BRAVIA XR8B Smart Google TV (K-77XR8B), 2025 Model cheapest?
At Amazon, for $2,498.00, as of our latest check.
