Is the Sony BRAVIA 3 K85S38PB worth it?

It is worth it if you want a very large Sony screen for streaming and everyday viewing at the entry level. If you care about deep blacks or 120 Hz gaming, a Mini LED or OLED set costs more but performs better.

Is 60 Hz a problem for gaming?

For casual console play it is fine. For competitive shooters on PS5 or Xbox Series X you cannot get 4K at 120 Hz here, because the ports are HDMI 2.0.

Does it support Dolby Vision and HDR?

The set supports HDR, and Sony's BRAVIA 3 line generally handles HDR10 and HLG. Check the specific HDR formats listed for this model before buying if Dolby Vision matters to you.

The TV, its stand and the standard remote and power cable. A wall mount is not included, so buy one rated for an 85-inch set if you plan to hang it.

How far should I sit from an 85-inch TV?

Around 8 to 10 feet works well for 4K content on an 85-inch screen. Closer than that, lower-resolution cable channels will look softer.

Large TVs usually drop during Black Friday, Super Bowl season and end-of-model clearance. Track the price history on this page and buy when it sits near the low end of its recent range.
