Is the disc edition worth it over the digital edition?

Yes if you buy physical games, since discs can be resold and discounted, and the drive also plays 4K Blu-ray movies. The digital edition is cheaper up front but ties you to PlayStation Store prices.

How many games fit on the 825GB SSD?

Owners report roughly 7 large games at a time, because the system software takes part of the drive. You can add a compatible M.2 NVMe SSD to expand it.

Do I need a 4K TV to use it?

No, it works on a 1080p TV. But the full 4K and HDR benefit needs a compatible 4K HDR TV, ideally one that handles 120Hz for supported games.

What comes in the box?

The console, one DualSense wireless controller, an HDMI cable, a power cord and a stand. The Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition bundle adds the game and custom covers.

Is the PS5 Pro a better buy?

The Pro adds more GPU power for higher and steadier frame rates on a 4K TV. The standard PS5 still plays the same games and costs less, so it suits most buyers.

When is the price lowest?

Consoles usually drop during Black Friday, holiday sales and console bundle promotions. Track the price history here before buying at $668.88 at eBay as of November 5, 2026.
