Is the Steam Frame worth $1,699.99?

That is the only new price listed, at eBay as of November 4, 2026. It is high for a standalone headset, so compare it against the Quest 3 and Pico 4 before committing.

Does it work with Steam games?

It is a Valve headset built around the Steam ecosystem, so it is aimed at Steam libraries. Check the listing for whether it streams from a PC or runs games on-device.

How long does the battery last?

The battery is 21.6 Wh. Valve has not published runtime figures here, and heavy 144Hz use will drain it faster than 72Hz.

The listing does not detail the bundle. Expect the headset, headstrap and a USB-C cable, and confirm controllers are included before buying.

Is the 1TB version available?

A 1TB option exists, but only the 256GB model is priced here. Expect the 1TB to cost more.

With one store listing it, there is no price history to time a purchase around. Watch for a second seller to appear.

Where is the Steam Frame cheapest?

Our take on the Steam Frame

The Steam Frame is Valve's standalone VR headset, built on a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip with 16GB of RAM and a 2160 x 2160 LCD panel per eye. It runs at 72-144Hz, offers up to a 110-degree field of view, and weighs 440g with the headstrap. The 256GB model's best new price is $1,699.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no meaningful recent price range to compare against.
