- Does this bed need a box spring?
- No. It is a platform bed, so a queen mattress sits directly on the slats. A box spring would add unnecessary height.
- What mattress size fits it?
- A standard queen mattress, 60 by 80 inches. The frame is built for queen only.
- Is the storage drawer on both sides?
- The listing describes one drawer, not a pair. Check the product dimensions to see which side it opens on before you buy.
- Is $1,033.86 a good price?
- It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, at Shop Simon, so there is no recent range to compare. Treat it as the current asking price rather than a confirmed deal.
- How much assembly does it need?
- Expect to assemble the frame, bookcase sections and drawer. Two people help with lifting the headboard and aligning the shelves.
- Will the velvet hold up with pets?
- Velvet picks up pet hair and shows claw snags. Brushing and a lint roller help, but a tightly woven fabric is easier to keep clean.
- Where is the Streamdale Furniture Queen Velvet Storage Platform Bed with Bookcases & Drawer cheapest?
- At Shop Simon, for $1,033.86, as of our latest check.
