Is the Polytac X USB worth it at $36?

Yes. That is near the bottom of its usual $50–$70 range, and 600 lumens with USB charging is strong value at that price.

How does it compare with the standard Polytac?

The X USB adds rechargeable USB power and a higher 600-lumen output. The older Polytac runs on CR123A cells and tops out lower.

How long does the battery last per charge?

Expect roughly 1.5 hours on high and several hours on low, depending on the setting used. Recharge time is a few hours over USB.

What comes in the box?

The light, a rechargeable battery and a USB charging cable. A holster is not always included, so check the listing.

Does it take standard 18650 batteries?

No. It uses Streamlight's proprietary rechargeable battery, so carry a spare if you rely on it for long shifts.

Prices dip around Black Friday and during Streamlight dealer sales. The $36.00 eBay price as of November 5, 2026 is already near the floor.
