Our take on the Sugift 5 Piece Wicker Conversation Set with Cushions and Coffee Table

The Sugift 5 Piece Wicker Conversation Set is an outdoor seating group built around a metal frame wrapped in sunproof PE rattan, with acacia wood armrests and a matching acacia-topped coffee table. The set includes plush sponge-filled cushions with zippered, washable covers, and one piece doubles as an ottoman. Each seat is rated to hold up to 400 lbs, which is high for this price class of patio furniture. It is a budget-to-midrange set aimed at small patios and decks rather than large entertaining spaces.

Best forSmall patios and apartment balconiesBuyers who want a full seating group in one purchaseHouseholds with heavier guests who need a 400 lb seat ratingPeople who prefer washable cushion covers over fixed upholstery
Pros
  • PE rattan resists fading and sun damage better than natural wicker
  • 400 lb per-seat rating is generous for the category
  • Zippered cushion covers come off for washing
  • Acacia wood armrests and tabletop add a warmer look than all-plastic sets
  • Ottoman adds flexible seating or a footrest
Cons
  • PE rattan and metal frames feel lighter and less rigid than solid wood or aluminum
  • Cushions are spot-clean only in practice; covers may shrink or fade with repeated washing
  • Acacia needs periodic oiling to avoid drying and graying outdoors
  • Five pieces may crowd a small balcony once the coffee table is placed
  • No warranty details are stated for frame or rattan

Questions and answers

Is the Sugift 5 piece set worth it?
It is a reasonable buy if you want a complete seating group for a small patio at a low price. Expect lighter construction than premium aluminum or teak sets, and plan to store cushions out of rain.
How many people does it seat?
The five pieces typically seat three to four adults, with the ottoman used as an extra seat or footrest. Check the individual piece dimensions before buying if you plan to seat four regularly.
Can the cushions stay outside in the rain?
The covers are zippered and washable, but the sponge filling holds water. Bring cushions inside or cover the set during rain to prevent mildew.
Does the set come with the coffee table?
Yes. The five pieces include the coffee table with an acacia wood top, along with the seating and ottoman.
How do I clean the PE rattan?
Wipe it with mild soap and water and rinse. Avoid abrasive brushes, which can dull the weave.
When is this set cheapest?
Outdoor furniture discounts most around late summer and Labor Day clearance. Track the price history here rather than buying at the start of the season.
