Our take on the SUGIFT Kids 12V 2-Seater Toyota FJ40 Ride-On Car with Parent Remote

The SUGIFT Kids 12V 2-Seater Toyota FJ40 Ride-On is a battery-powered toy car styled after the classic Land Cruiser, with two seats and a parent remote control. A 12-volt battery powers the drive, and the remote lets an adult steer and stop it for younger riders. It is a budget-priced ride-on aimed at siblings or friends riding together.

Best for
Families with two young kids who want to ride together
Parents of toddlers who need remote control
Buyers who want a licensed off-road look on a budget
Driveway and flat-yard play
Pros
  • Two seats let two small children ride at once
  • Parent remote gives adults steering and stop control
  • 12-volt system moves better than 6-volt cars
  • Toyota FJ40 styling stands out from generic ride-ons
Cons
  • Pink is the only color listed, which limits appeal
  • Two seats and a 12-volt battery mean shorter run times
  • No listed speed, weight limit or battery run time
  • Assembly and charging take time before first use

Questions and answers

Is the parent remote easy to use?
The remote lets an adult steer and stop the car, which is the main reason to pick it for a toddler. Expect to pair it and test the range before letting a child ride.
How long does the battery last per charge?
SUGIFT does not list a run time for this model. With two riders and a 12-volt motor, expect shorter runs than a single-seat car, so plan on charging between sessions.
Can two children really fit?
It is a two-seater, so two small kids can sit side by side. Check the listed weight limit before buying, since it is not stated here.
Does it come with a charger?
Ride-ons in this class normally ship with a charger and the remote. Confirm the box contents with the store before ordering.
Is it worth it over a single-seat ride-on?
If you have two kids close in age, the second seat and remote control justify the higher price over a basic single-seater. For one child, a smaller 6-volt car is cheaper and easier to store.
