Our take on the SUGIFT Kids 12V Battery 2-Seater Toyota FJ40 Ride-On Car

A 12-volt, two-seat ride-on styled as a Toyota FJ40, sold in pink with working lights and a parent remote control. The two seats and 12V drivetrain put it above the usual single-seat 6V cars, so two small kids can ride together. At $269.99 at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the top of its own price history rather than at a low point, so waiting for a drop is reasonable.

Pros
  • Two seats, so a sibling or friend can ride along
  • 12V power is quicker and handles grass better than 6V cars
  • Parent remote control lets you steer for younger children
  • Working lights add visibility and play value
  • Toyota FJ40 styling stands out from generic ride-on cars
Cons
  • At $269.99 it is priced near the top of its recent range
  • Pink-only color limits buyer choice
  • Two seats and 12V running gear make it heavy to move by hand
  • Battery runtime is limited; long sessions need a recharge break
  • Assembly and charging take time before first use

Questions and answers

Is the SUGIFT FJ40 ride-on worth $269.99?
It is a fair price for a two-seat 12V car with a parent remote, but $269.99 at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026 is at the high end of its recent range. If you are not in a hurry, watch for a drop before buying.
How does it compare with a 6V single-seat ride-on?
The 12V motor moves two children and copes with short grass better than 6V cars, and the second seat means siblings can ride together. The trade-off is a higher price and more weight to store and move.
Can parents control it remotely?
Yes, it includes a remote control so an adult can steer and stop the car for younger riders. Older kids can switch to driving with the pedal and wheel themselves.
How long does the battery last per charge?
Expect roughly an hour of typical stop-and-go riding on a full charge, less with two riders or on grass. Recharging takes several hours, so plan rides around a charge cycle.
What comes in the box?
The car ships unassembled with the battery, charger, remote control and hardware. You will need basic tools and about an hour to put it together before the first ride.
Is it suitable for a 2-year-old?
Yes, with the parent remote in charge. The two seats and 12V speed suit roughly ages 3 to 8; younger toddlers should ride only under remote control.
Where is the SUGIFT Kids 12V Battery 2-Seater Toyota FJ40 Ride-On Car cheapest?
At Lowe's, for $269.99, 50% off, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the SUGIFT Kids 12V Battery 2-Seater Toyota FJ40 Ride-On Car?
2 stores we checked sell it, including Lowe's, JCPenney.
