Is this stand worth $150.99?

For a 79-inch console that holds an 80-inch TV, that is cheap. Expect engineered wood and a very low profile, so it is best for shoppers who value size and price over furniture-grade materials.

Will it hold an 80-inch TV safely?

SUGIFT rates it for screens up to 80 inches, and the 79-inch width gives a wide base. The stand is only 5 inches tall, so check your TV's foot spacing and weight before buying, and anchor the TV if you have kids or pets.

Can I fit a soundbar or cable box on it?

Probably not inside or under it. At 5 inches tall there is little open clearance, so a soundbar would sit on top in front of the TV, and components need to go in the cabinet.

What is the cabinet like?

It is a closed compartment in engineered wood with a white finish, meant for remotes, cables and small items. It is not sized for large AV receivers.

Is it cheaper at other stores?

Only JCPenney lists it new at $150.99 as of November 3, 2026, so there is no second price to compare. Watch for JCPenney furniture sales and coupon codes, which are the likeliest way to pay less.

Does it come assembled?

Expect to assemble it. Flat-pack engineered wood consoles in this price range ship unassembled, and you will need a screwdriver and a helper for the 79-inch top.

Our take on the SUGIFT Mid-Century Modern TV Stand for TVs up to 80

The SUGIFT Mid-Century Modern TV Stand is a 79-inch engineered wood console in white, rated for TVs up to 80 inches, with a closed cabinet for storage. Its low 5-inch height keeps the TV close to the floor, which suits a low-slung mid-century look but leaves little room for media components underneath. It is a budget piece: $150.99 at JCPenney as of November 3, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no price competition to shop around for.
