Our take on the Superior Down Alternative Comforter

The Superior Down Alternative Comforter is a mediumweight microfiber comforter filled with synthetic down alternative, sold in Twin through California King. It is reversible, so either face can show, and it is machine washable. At $39.45 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range, well below typical retail for a king-size comforter. It is a budget pick rather than a hotel-style duvet.

Questions and answers

Is it worth buying over a real down comforter?
At $39.45 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it costs a fraction of a down comforter. Down is loftier and breathes better, but this one is washable and fine for guest beds or budget setups.
Is it warm enough for winter?
It is mediumweight, so it suits most rooms and mild winters. In a cold house or for a cold sleeper, add a blanket underneath.
What sizes does it come in?
Twin, Full, Queen, King and California King. Check the drop for your bed height, since the fill is not very lofty.
Can I machine wash it?
Yes. Wash on a gentle cycle in a large machine and tumble dry low, adding dryer balls to keep the fill even.
When is it cheapest?
The $39.45 eBay price as of November 4, 2026 is already near the bottom of its recent range. Watch for bedding sales around Black Friday and January white sales for similar lows.
