Our take on the Sur La Table Electric Salt & Pepper Mill Set

A two-piece battery-operated salt and pepper mill set from Sur La Table, with a tall silver aluminum body and a one-touch button on top. Each mill holds about 40 ml and uses a ceramic grinding mechanism with adjustable fine-to-coarse settings. The best new price is $35.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, and only one store currently lists it new, so there is little price competition to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the Sur La Table electric mill set worth it?
At $35.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a matching electric pair with ceramic burrs. If you grind a lot, a larger-capacity mill may suit you better.
Does it come with batteries?
The set is battery operated, but plan on buying batteries separately unless the listing says otherwise. Check the listing details before ordering.
Can it grind both salt and pepper?
Yes. The ceramic mechanism is suited to both, and each mill has an adjustable fine-to-coarse setting. Keep one mill for salt and one for pepper.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the body clean with a damp cloth. No parts are dishwasher safe, so do not submerge the mills.
How does it compare with a manual mill?
It grinds at the push of a button, which is easier for people with hand or wrist issues. Manual mills never need batteries and usually hold more.
When is the best time to buy?
Only one store lists it new at $35.00 as of November 4, 2026. Watch for holiday kitchen sales, when Sur La Table and other retailers often discount mill sets.
Where is the Sur La Table Electric Salt & Pepper Mill Set cheapest?
