Is the TCL 43S425 worth buying at $325.56?

That price is high for a 43-inch budget 4K TV from this series. Compare it with newer 43-inch 4K sets, which often sell for less and offer better picture processing.

Does the 43S425 support HDR?

Yes, it supports HDR10. Without local dimming or high brightness, the HDR effect is limited, so expect a modest improvement rather than a dramatic one.

What smart platform does it use?

It runs Roku TV, which includes the Roku home screen, a large app store and a simple remote. It supports the major streaming services.

How many HDMI ports does it have?

The S425 series has three HDMI inputs, one of which supports HDMI 2.0 features. That is enough for a console, a streaming stick and a cable box.

Is the 43S425 good for gaming?

It is a 60Hz panel with basic input lag performance, fine for casual console play. Serious gamers should look for a set with a game mode and variable refresh rate.

This model is older and now listed new by only one store, so discounts are unlikely. Watch for clearance pricing as stock runs down.

Our take on the TCL 43S425 43 Inches Ultra HD Smart LED TV

The TCL 43S425 is a 43-inch 4K LED TV from TCL's S425 series, a budget line built around Roku's smart TV platform. It covers the basics for a small room: 4K resolution, HDR support and the Roku interface with its large app selection. The best new price is $325.56 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition to shop around. That price is high for a 43-inch budget 4K set of this age, so compare it against current entry-level 43-inch models before buying.
