Questions and answers

Is the RC28 Zoom worth $49.95?
At $49.95 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a fair price for a ready-to-run hobby-grade micro buggy. You are paying partly for the Brian Kinwald edition, so buy it as a collectible or indoor toy rather than a racer.
Can it drive outdoors?
Only on smooth, clean pavement or concrete. The 1/28 scale, small tires and 2WD layout struggle on grass, gravel or rough ground.
What battery does it use, and how long does it run?
It runs on a small rechargeable pack charged through the included USB charger. Expect short run times typical of micro RC cars, so a second pack is worth having.
What is in the box?
The buggy comes assembled and ready to run, with a transmitter, rechargeable battery and charger. Batteries for the transmitter are usually not included.
How does it compare with a Losi Micro-B?
Both are 1/28-scale hobby micros. The RC28 Zoom is simpler and cheaper, while the Losi offers more tuning and aftermarket support. Choose the RC28 for the Kinwald looks and low price.
When is it cheapest?
Micro RC prices dip during holiday sales and when a model is discontinued. The current $49.95 at eBay is already near the low end, so waiting may not save much.
Where is the Team Associated RC28 Zoom Brian Kinwald RTR cheapest?
At eBay, for $49.95, 17% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Team Associated RC28 Zoom Brian Kinwald RTR?
12 stores we checked sell it, including eBay, Hobby-Sports.com, Go Fast Hobbies & Raceway, Lefthander RC, Active Powersports.
