Our take on the Tecknet 100ft Permanent Outdoor Lights

The Tecknet 100ft Permanent Outdoor Lights are a battery-powered LED string in multicolor with multiple lighting themes, meant to be left up outdoors year-round. They run on batteries rather than mains power, so placement is limited only by where you can mount the pack, but you will be replacing cells or recharging regularly. The best new price is $26.99 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, the lowest of the two stores listing it new.

Pros
  • 100ft length covers a long roofline or fence in one run

Cons
  • Battery power means frequent cell changes or recharging

Questions and answers

Is $26.99 a good price for the Tecknet 100ft lights?
It is the best new price among the two stores listing it new as of November 7, 2026. At roughly 27 cents per foot for multicolor LEDs, it sits at the low end for battery strings of this length.
How long do the batteries last?
Battery life depends on the theme and brightness, and multicolor modes draw more than a single color. Expect to change or recharge cells every few weeks with nightly use, so keep spares on hand.
Can these be left outside all year?
They are sold for outdoor use, but the battery pack is the weak point in rain and cold. Mount the pack under cover and check the seals before winter.
Do they need an outlet or wiring?
No. They run on batteries, so you can hang them on a fence or shed with no power nearby. The trade-off is that you cannot set them on a timer through mains power.
What comes in the box?
Typically the 100ft LED string, a battery pack and mounting clips. Check the listing for the battery type, since cells are often not included.
Are they safe for a permanent install?
They carry no NRTL listing such as UL or ETL, so they are not certified for permanent wiring. Use them as a plug-and-play battery string, not a hardwired fixture.
Where is the Tecknet 100ft Permanent Outdoor Lights cheapest?
At Walmart, for $54.99, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Tecknet 100ft Permanent Outdoor Lights?
2 stores we checked sell it, including Walmart, eBay.
