Is this lighter worth $6.16?

At $6.16 at Temu as of November 7, 2026, it is cheap enough to try as a spare. Expect basic build quality and buy it as a short-term tool, not an heirloom.

Does it come with butane?

No. It ships empty and needs standard butane refill cans, which you buy separately. Fill it before first use.

Is a dual-flame lighter better than a single jet?

A dual flame gives more heat and a wider light for cigars, grills or candles. It also burns fuel faster and is hotter, so use it carefully.

Can I take it on a plane?

No. Refillable butane lighters are generally banned in carry-on and checked baggage on US flights. Leave it at home.

Turn it upside down, press a butane can nozzle into the fill valve and hold for a few seconds. Let it warm to room temperature before lighting.

Our take on the Temu Dual Flame Butane Gas Refill Lighter

A cheap dual-flame butane lighter sold by Temu, built to produce two jets of flame for cigars, candles or outdoor use. It is refillable with standard butane and listed as windproof, in a black finish. At $6.16 at Temu as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price on record, so there is no recent range to compare it against. Treat it as a low-cost disposable-grade tool rather than a long-term piece.
