This is a vertical tower power strip from TESSAN with multiple AC outlets, 4 USB ports and a 10 ft flat cord. Questions and answers
- Is the TESSAN tower worth it over a flat power strip?
- If you have several devices with bulky adapters, the tower layout keeps them from blocking each other. A flat strip is cheaper and easier to hide, but the tower is better on a desk.
- How many outlets and USB ports does it have?
- It has multiple AC outlets arranged around the tower plus 4 USB-A ports. That covers a laptop, monitor, lamp and a few phones from one plug.
- Can it handle a space heater or microwave?
- No. It is rated to 1250W, so high-draw appliances like space heaters, microwaves or hair dryers can trip it. Use it for electronics and small devices.
- Does it protect against power surges?
- It has a 150J surge rating, which handles everyday spikes but is on the low side. For expensive electronics in storm-prone areas, a higher-joule protector is safer.
- Is the 10 ft cord flat?
- Yes, the cord is 10 ft and flat, so it runs cleanly under rugs or along baseboards. It is for indoor use only.
- When is the best time to buy?
- At $28.00 at Order Out of Chaos Planners as of November 4, 2026, it is already near the bottom of its usual range. Discounts on this model tend to be small, so waiting rarely saves much.
