Is the TFA Beam worth $35?

At $35.00 it is priced like a basic consumer infrared thermometer. It is reasonable if you need quick surface readings, but check the accuracy and spot ratio if you need precise measurements.

What is the temperature range?

It measures from -38°C to +365°C, or -36°F to 689°F. That covers freezer checks, cooking surfaces and many outdoor uses.

Can it measure body temperature?

It is a surface infrared thermometer, not a medical ear or forehead model. Readings on skin are not a substitute for a clinical thermometer.

How accurate is it on shiny metal?

No emissivity setting is listed, so readings on reflective surfaces like polished metal can be off. Use it on matte surfaces or apply tape to the target for better results.

What comes in the box?

The listing does not specify box contents. Expect the thermometer itself; confirm batteries and any case with the store before ordering.

The only recorded price is $35.00, dated 2026-11-01, with no lower price in its history. There is no past low to time a purchase around.
