Our take on the The North Face Eco Trail Bed 20 Sleeping Bag

The North Face Eco Trail Bed 20 is a rectangular two-person sleeping bag rated to 20°F, filled with recycled polyester and built from ripstop fabric. It comes in regular and long lengths and a double size, with a wraparound footbox zipper and a 14-inch side zipper at the collar for venting. It weighs about 8 lbs 1 oz in the long size, so it is a car-camping bag rather than a backpacking one. At $59.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it sits well below what a two-person synthetic bag usually costs.

Questions and answers

Is the Eco Trail Bed 20 warm enough for winter?
No. A 20°F rating is a three-season limit, and the rectangular shape loses heat at the shoulders. Treat it as a cool-weather bag, not a winter one.
Can two people share this bag?
Yes, the double version is made for two. The regular and long single sizes are for one person.
How heavy is it to carry?
The long size weighs about 8 lbs 1 oz. That is fine from the car to the tent but heavy for hiking.
Is it machine washable?
Yes. The bag is listed as machine washable on an easy-care cycle; use a front-loading machine and tumble low.
What sizes are available?
Regular and long lengths in single width, plus a double two-person size. Length runs to 83 inches internal in the long.
When is the price lowest?
Clearance and end-of-season sales tend to bring the lowest prices. The $59.99 eBay price as of November 5, 2026 is already well under typical retail.
Where is the The North Face Eco Trail Bed 20 Sleeping Bag cheapest?
At eBay, for $59.99, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the The North Face Eco Trail Bed 20 Sleeping Bag?
