Our take on the Three Girls Darcy Custom Roman Shades

The Darcy is a custom-made fabric Roman shade from Three Girls, offered in a motorized version for indoor windows. Because each shade is built to your window's measurements, the $89.99 starting price at Three Girls as of November 7, 2026 is a base figure that rises with size, fabric and the motor option. It is the only new price listed for this shade, so there is no competing store price to compare against.

Pros
  • Custom sizing fits windows that stock shades cannot cover
  • Motorized lift removes cords and makes tall windows easy to operate
  • Roman fold style stacks neatly and shows more glass when raised
  • Fabric construction softens light and adds warmth to a room
Cons
  • Custom orders usually cannot be returned once cut to size
  • $89.99 is a starting price; larger windows and the motor cost more
  • Motorized versions need power or a battery solution at the window
  • Made-to-order lead times are longer than off-the-shelf shades

Questions and answers

Is the $89.99 price the final cost?
No. $89.99 at Three Girls as of November 7, 2026 is the base price. Custom width, height, fabric choice and the motorized lift all raise the total.
Can I get these shades without the motor?
The listing describes the Darcy as motorized. Ask Three Girls whether a manual cord or wand version is offered before ordering.
How do I measure for custom Roman shades?
Measure the window width and height at the exact spot the shade will mount, inside or outside the frame. Three Girls should confirm its own measuring guide, since custom shades are cut to your numbers.
Do motorized shades need an electrician?
It depends on the power option. Battery motors usually need no wiring, while hardwired versions may need an outlet or low-voltage line near the window.
Can I return a custom shade if the size is wrong?
Custom-made shades are typically non-returnable once production starts. Confirm the return policy and your measurements before placing the order.
Are these shades suitable for bathrooms or kitchens?
They are listed for indoor use, but fabric shades in damp rooms need a fabric rated for humidity. Check with Three Girls before using them in a bathroom.
