Our take on the Thumb-sized Flip Screen Mini Digital Camera

A tiny novelty digital camera with a CCD sensor, a flip screen and video recording, sold in white. It weighs about 8 oz, so it is closer to a small toy camera than a pocket point-and-shoot. The only new price found is $20.78 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, with no other stores listing it new, so there is no recent price range to compare against. At that price it is an impulse buy, not a camera you would rely on for important photos.

Best forKids and teens who want a first cameraGifts and stocking stuffersNovelty and retro-style photo fansCasual snapshots where image quality matters little
Pros
  • Very cheap at $20.78
  • Flip screen makes selfies and odd angles easier
  • CCD sensor gives a retro look some people like
  • Records video as well as stills
  • Small and light enough to carry anywhere
Cons
  • Tiny body means tiny controls and a small screen
  • 8 oz is heavy for something thumb-sized
  • CCD sensor and low price point mean weak low-light photos
  • No sign of a major brand behind it, so support and warranty are unclear
  • Only one store lists it new, so price competition is minimal

Questions and answers

Is this camera worth $20.78?
If you want a cheap, fun camera for a kid or a novelty gift, yes. If you expect sharp photos or reliable video, spend more on a known brand.
Is it good for kids?
The low price and flip screen suit kids and teens. Check that the small buttons and screen are easy enough for the child to use.
Does it record video?
Yes, the listing says it has video recording. Expect basic quality, not HD footage from a phone.
What comes in the box?
The listing does not detail the contents. Assume you may need to supply a memory card and charging cable, and confirm with the store before buying.
When is the price lowest?
With only one new listing at $20.78 as of November 5, 2026, there is little price history to go on. Watch for holiday sales at Walmart.
Where is the Thumb-sized Flip Screen Mini Digital Camera cheapest?
At Walmart, for $20.78, as of our latest check.
