Timberland's Timbercush comfort system and a ReBOTL fabric lining (50% recycled PET) target foot fatigue on long days. The best new price is $87.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, with two stores listing it new.

Best forDay hikers and casual trail walkersWet-weather and winter hikingShoppers who want Timberland styling off-trailMen who prioritize cushioning over a stiff mountaineering boot
Pros
  • Waterproof construction for wet trails and slush
  • Timbercush cushioning aimed at reducing foot fatigue
  • Lugged rubber outsole for grip on mixed terrain
  • ReBOTL lining uses 50% recycled PET
  • Mid-cut shaft adds ankle coverage without a tall boot
Cons
  • EVA midsole and soft cushioning suit light to moderate hiking, not heavy loads
  • Waterproof membrane reduces breathability on warm days
  • Lug pattern is all-purpose rather than aggressive for steep, loose ground
  • Not a backpacking or mountaineering boot

Questions and answers

Is the Motion Access Mid worth it at $87.99?
At $87.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a waterproof Timberland hiking boot. It suits day hikes and wet-weather walking more than technical alpine use.
Is it truly waterproof?
Yes, Timberland lists it as waterproof, with a waterproof membrane and a ReBOTL fabric lining. Waterproof boots still need care to keep the membrane and upper performing.
How does it compare with a traditional leather hiking boot?
It is lighter and softer, with an EVA midsole and Timbercush cushioning. Traditional leather boots offer more stiffness and support for heavy packs but need more break-in.
Does it run true to size?
Most Timberland boots run close to standard US sizing. Try it with the socks you hike in, since the waterproof lining leaves less room for thick socks.
Can I wear it in winter?
Timberland lists winter as a season for this boot, and the waterproof upper handles snow and slush. The EVA midsole offers limited insulation in deep cold.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price seen is $87.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Watch for seasonal markdowns on Timberland hiking boots in late fall and after the holidays.
