Our take on the Titan Weatherproof Partial Sun L-100 Outdoor TV

The Titan L-100 is an 86-inch 4K QLED outdoor TV built for covered patios and shaded decks rather than full-sun exposure. It pairs a 120 Hz panel and HDR with an anti-glare coating, three HDMI ports, Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Alexa support, and it is only 1.8 inches deep. It is a niche, premium product, so check the current price against its recent range before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Titan L-100 good for a sunny patio?
No. Titan rates it for partial sun, meaning covered or shaded areas. Direct sunlight will wash out the picture and can stress the panel.
What is the refresh rate and does it matter for sports?
It is 120 Hz, which gives smoother motion for sports and fast action than a 60 Hz set. Pair it with a 120 Hz source to get the benefit.
Does it come with a mount or stand?
Outdoor TVs of this type are usually sold for wall or ceiling mounting, and the listing does not confirm a mount in the box. Plan on buying a heavy-duty outdoor mount rated for an 86-inch set.
Can I stream Netflix and other apps without a stick?
Yes. It lists Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+, HBO and Spotify, plus Wi-Fi and Ethernet. A separate streaming device is still an option if the built-in apps feel slow.
Is the Titan L-100 worth it over an indoor TV on a covered porch?
Only if the set will face moisture, dust and temperature swings. An indoor TV is much cheaper but will not hold up outdoors, even under a roof.
When is the best time to buy it?
Outdoor TVs tend to see discounts in late summer and around major sales events. Check the price history before buying, since this is a high-ticket item.
Where can I buy the Titan Weatherproof Partial Sun L-100 Outdoor TV?
