Our take on the TCL Q6 Series 55" 4K UHD QLED Smart TV with Google TV

The TCL Q6 is a 55-inch 4K QLED smart TV running Google TV, with HDR support, Google Assistant built in, and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HDMI connectivity. It sits in TCL's value QLED line: quantum-dot color and full smart-platform features at a budget price rather than the mini-LED brightness of the QM series. At $399.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is priced at the low end of what this size class typically sells for.

Best forBudget buyers who want QLED color in a 55-inch setStreaming-first households using Google TV appsBedrooms and secondary roomsShoppers pairing it with a soundbar
Pros
  • QLED quantum-dot layer gives wider color than basic LED sets
  • Google TV aggregates streaming apps with Google Assistant voice search
  • HDR support across common formats
  • Four HDMI inputs cover a console, soundbar and streaming box
  • Light at 24.3 lb, so wall mounting is manageable
Cons
  • Edge-lit backlight, so contrast and black levels trail mini-LED models
  • Peak brightness is modest; HDR highlights look restrained in bright rooms
  • Built-in speakers are thin, a soundbar is worth budgeting for
  • 60Hz panel limits appeal for serious gamers

Questions and answers

Is the TCL Q6 worth it at $399.99?
At $399.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a fair price for a 55-inch QLED with Google TV. You get strong color and a full smart platform; you give up deep blacks and high brightness found on pricier mini-LED sets.
How does the Q6 compare with TCL's QM series?
The QM series uses mini-LED backlighting with local dimming, so it delivers much better contrast and brightness. The Q6 is edge-lit and cheaper; pick it if budget matters more than dark-room performance.
Does it support 4K gaming at 120Hz?
No. The Q6 is a 60Hz panel, so it tops out at 4K 60Hz for consoles. It is fine for casual gaming but not for buyers who want high frame rates.
What is in the box?
The TV, a stand, a remote and power cable are standard. Check the listing for the specific remote and stand included, since bundles vary by seller.
Does it work with Google Assistant and other voice assistants?
Google Assistant is built in through Google TV, so you can search and control the TV by voice. It also supports casting from phones and tablets over Wi-Fi.
When is the Q6 cheapest?
55-inch TVs like this drop most around Black Friday and Super Bowl season. The current $399.99 at eBay is already near the low end for a QLED this size.
