Is the Toshiba M450 good for gaming?

It handles casual console play at 4K 60 Hz, but the 60 Hz panel and lack of HDMI 2.1 features rule out high-frame-rate gaming. Serious players should look at 120 Hz sets.

Does it need a soundbar?

The built-in speakers are fine for news and casual viewing but thin for movies. Most owners add a soundbar or use the HDMI ARC port for one.

The TV, a Fire TV voice remote, a stand and power cable. Batteries for the remote and an HDMI cable are not always included.

Does it work with Alexa and Siri?

Alexa is built in through Fire TV and the voice remote. Siri support comes through AirPlay-style casting from Apple devices, not native Siri control.

Fire TV sets from Toshiba tend to drop during Prime Day, Black Friday and back-to-school sales. Watch the price history before buying outside those windows.

Our take on the Toshiba Class M450 QLED Series 4K UHD Smart Fire TV

The Toshiba Class M450 is a budget 4K QLED smart TV that runs Amazon's Fire TV operating system. It combines quantum-dot color with a 60 Hz panel, HDR support and built-in Alexa voice control. It is one of the cheaper ways to get a QLED panel with Fire TV built in, aimed at buyers who want decent color without paying OLED or premium LED prices.
