Our take on the Total Chef 0.7 cu ft Countertop Microwave Oven

The Total Chef 0.7 cu ft Countertop Microwave is a compact 700-watt microwave with digital touch controls and a stainless steel exterior. Its small 0.7 cu ft cavity and roughly 17 by 13 by 10 inch footprint suit tight counters, dorms and offices. The one-touch push-button door and LED display keep operation simple. At $122.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against and the price sits high for a 700-watt compact unit.

Questions and answers

Is the Total Chef 0.7 cu ft microwave worth it?
It makes sense if counter space is the priority and you mostly reheat and defrost. At $122.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it costs more than many 0.7 cu ft microwaves, so compare before buying.
How does 700 watts compare with other compact microwaves?
Most 0.7 cu ft models run 700 watts, so it matches the class. Larger 0.9 to 1.1 cu ft units at 900 to 1000 watts heat noticeably faster.
What size plate fits inside?
The 0.7 cu ft cavity takes plates up to roughly 10 inches, and tall containers may not clear. Measure your usual dishes before buying.
Does it have preset cooking modes?
Defrost is the main preset listed; the rest is manual time and power entry through the touch controls. Expect basic microwave functions rather than sensor cooking.
What is in the box?
The microwave and its power cord; a glass turntable and roller ring are standard for this type, but confirm the contents with the seller.
When is it cheapest?
Only one new price, $122.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, is listed, so there is no price history to time a purchase against. Watch for holiday appliance sales.
