Is the 28-degree #6 hybrid worth it over a 6-iron?

For most mid- and higher-handicap women, yes. The hybrid head and graphite shaft launch higher and are more forgiving than a 6-iron, especially from rough. Better ball strikers who want a lower, workable flight may prefer the iron.

What loft gap does a 28-degree hybrid fill?

It sits between a traditional 6-iron (about 30 degrees) and 7-iron (about 34 degrees) in older sets. In modern strong-lofted iron sets it may replace a 5- or 6-iron, so check your set's lofts before buying.

Is the regular flex graphite shaft right for me?

It suits moderate swing speeds, roughly 70-85 mph with a hybrid. Faster swingers will likely see a left miss and ballooning flight; slower swingers may want a ladies or senior flex instead.

Is this club right-handed only?

Yes, this configuration is right-handed. Left-handed golfers need to look for a separate left-handed version of the C523 line.

The club as configured: hybrid head, graphite shaft in regular flex, and a ladies grip. No headcover or written warranty is listed, so confirm with the retailer if those matter to you.

Tour Edge hybrids usually drop when a new Hot Launch line launches and older models are cleared. Late-season and post-release windows tend to be the best times to buy.

Our take on the Tour Edge Golf Ladies Hot Launch C523 Hybrid 28 #6

The Tour Edge Hot Launch C523 is a game-improvement hybrid aimed at mid- and higher-handicap golfers who want a higher, straighter ball flight. This ladies version comes in a 28-degree #6 with a graphite shaft in regular flex, right-handed. The 28-degree loft sits between a 6-iron and a 7-iron, so it is a direct iron replacement rather than a long-iron substitute. It is a current-line club, so pricing depends on the retailer and the season; no price was supplied for this listing.
