Our take on the Men's Adams Golf Idea Hybrid

The Adams Idea hybrid is a women's 5-hybrid with 25 degrees of loft, a graphite Ultralite 50 shaft and a stainless steel head. It is an older Adams model, so it sells cheaply now: the best new price is $15.99 at GolfRoots as of November 5, 2026, with four stores listing it new. That is near the bottom of what this club has recently cost, so it is a low-risk pickup for a beginner or a spare-bag club.

Best forWomen new to hybrids who want a cheap 5-iron replacementGolfers on a tight budgetPlayers with slower swing speedsA backup or range club

  • No head cover guarantee from every seller
  • Shaft length figures conflict (38.25 vs 37.5 in)

Questions and answers

Is the Adams Idea hybrid worth buying at $15.99?
At $15.99 at GolfRoots as of November 5, 2026, it is a cheap way to try a hybrid. Expect a used-condition club with a worn grip, so budget a few dollars for a regrip.
Is this a men's or women's club?
Despite the listing name, the specs say women's: ladies flex, women's department and a 50g graphite shaft. It suits slower swing speeds.
What loft and length does it have?
It is a 5-hybrid with 25 degrees of loft. The listing gives two shaft lengths, 38.25 and 37.5 inches, so confirm with the seller before buying.
Does it come with a head cover?
The accessories line says a matching head cover is included, but the head cover field says no. Ask the store to confirm.
How does it compare with a 5-iron?
A 25-degree hybrid launches higher and is more forgiving than a traditional 5-iron, especially with a light graphite shaft. It is a common replacement for long irons.
When is it cheapest?
At $15.99 it is already near the low end of its recent range. Older Adams hybrids rarely drop much further, so waiting is unlikely to save much.
Where is the Men's Adams Golf Idea Hybrid cheapest?
At GolfRoots, for $15.99, 54% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Men's Adams Golf Idea Hybrid?
4 stores we checked sell it, including GolfRoots, Play It Again Sports, Purchase and Resell, Mr Topes Golf.
