The Tracfone Samsung Galaxy A16 is a prepaid 5G phone with a 6.7-inch OLED screen at 2340 x 1080 and a 90Hz refresh rate, 128GB of storage, 4GB of RAM and a triple rear camera. It takes a single SIM on Tracfone's network, has expandable storage and fast charging, and Samsung rates it water resistant. Its only recorded price is $55.99 at Tracfone as of November 1, 2026, so there is no earlier range to compare against yet. At that price it is one of the cheapest ways to get a 5G OLED phone, but 4GB of RAM and Tracfone lock-in are the trade-offs.
Lowest price we've seen: $55.99 on Nov 1 at Best Buy. Tracked across 1 store since Nov 1.
The 4.4 out of 5 from 68 ratings points to solid satisfaction for a cheap prepaid phone. Owners of the A16 line generally like the large OLED display and battery life and accept the modest performance.
