Our take on the Triple Pinch Pleated Linen Curtain Panel 100% Blackout
A triple pinch pleat curtain panel in a linen-polyester blend, sold in ivory, white, beige, black, grey and cream. The 100% blackout lining blocks light and heat, and the triple pleats give a tailored, hotel-style drape. Panels come in 18, 30 and 40 inch widths, so you can mix sizes to cover a window. Pros
- 100% blackout lining blocks light and street glare
- Triple pinch pleats hang in even, deep folds
- Linen-polyester blend resists wrinkles better than pure linen
- Six neutral colors cover most palettes
- Three widths allow single or paired coverage
Cons
- Blackout lining adds weight; a sturdy rod and brackets are needed
- Pinch pleats need hooks and rings, not a simple rod pocket
- Linen blend can still crease and may need steaming after unpacking
- Widths are narrow; wide windows need two or more panels
- Dry clean or gentle wash only is typical for pleated linen

Questions and answers
- Is this panel truly 100% blackout?
- The listing states 100% blackout, and the lined construction blocks most light. Expect a faint glow at the top and sides unless the rod overlaps the window frame.
- What width do I need for my window?
- For a gathered look, use panels about 1.5 to 2 times the window width. A 40 inch panel suits a window up to roughly 20 to 27 inches wide when closed.
- How do I hang triple pinch pleats?
- Use curtain hooks in the pleat pockets and rings on a rod. The pleats are fixed, so the panel keeps its folds without extra training.
- Can I wash these curtains?
- Pleated linen blends are usually best dry cleaned or washed cold on a gentle cycle and hung to dry. Heat and wringing can distort the pleats.
- When is the best time to buy?
- Curtain panels often drop during seasonal home sales and around major holiday events. Check the price history before buying a full set.
