Is the TRTL Pillow Plus worth it over a regular U-shaped pillow?

If you sleep leaning to one side on flights, the side support is more effective than a U-pillow, which mainly stops forward drop. If you sleep straight back or want something soft and cheap, a basic pillow is enough.

How is it different from the original TRTL Pillow?

The Plus adds adjustable firmness through its plastic support and a higher, more structured profile. The original is simpler and lighter, with less adjustment.

Can I wash the cover?

Yes. Remove the plastic insert and machine wash the fleece cover. Check the care label for temperature and drying.

Does it fit all neck sizes?

It is one size and wraps with a scarf-like closure, so it adjusts to most adults. Very small or very large necks may find the fit loose or tight.

Our take on the TRTL Pillow Plus

The TRTL Pillow Plus is a travel neck pillow that replaces the usual U-shape with a scarf-like fleece wrap holding a plastic and foam support that props your head up on one side. It is aimed at side-sleepers and people with neck pain on long flights, and the cover is machine washable with the plastic insert removed. It is one size and about the size of a book, so it packs flat rather than bulky. The best new price is $52.49 at TrtlUS as of November 4, 2026, with only one store listing it new.
