Our take on the Tryagat 12 Hybrid Mattress in a Box Medium Firm

The Tryagat 12 Hybrid is a 12-inch queen mattress that combines an innerspring core with gel memory foam and a Eurotop cover. It ships compressed in a box, so it is easy to move into a bedroom or up stairs. The hybrid build targets sleepers who want foam pressure relief without the sink of an all-foam bed. It is rated 4.2 out of 5 from 40 ratings, a small sample that suggests solid but not universal satisfaction.

Questions and answers

Is the Tryagat 12 Hybrid good for side sleepers?
Medium firm is on the firmer side for side sleepers, who usually need more cushioning at the shoulder and hip. Lighter side sleepers may find it too firm; heavier side sleepers often do fine.
How long does it take to expand after unboxing?
Most boxed hybrids like this one reach full shape within 24 to 48 hours. Sleeping on it the first night is usually fine, though it may feel slightly softer at first.
Does the gel memory foam sleep hot?
Gel-infused foam is designed to pull heat away better than standard memory foam. The coil core also allows more airflow than an all-foam mattress, so most sleepers should stay comfortable.
What is included in the box?
The box contains the compressed queen mattress only. A foundation or frame is not included, and a slatted base or box spring is recommended.
Is it compatible with an adjustable bed base?
A 12-inch hybrid with coils can work on an adjustable base, but check the base's weight limit and warranty terms first. Coil beds flex less readily than all-foam models.
When is the best time to buy it?
Mattress prices tend to dip around major holiday sales and during new-model clearance. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
