Our take on the Tumi Alpha Bravo Wheeled Carry-On Duffel

The Tumi Alpha Bravo Wheeled Carry-On Duffel is a soft-sided rolling bag that combines duffel-style top access with two recessed wheels and a telescoping handle. It is built from Tumi's ballistic nylon with leather trim and is sized to fit most carry-on limits, so it works for short business trips and weekend travel. The best new price is $477 at TUMI as of November 5, 2026, and it is the only new price listed, so there is no lower competing offer to compare against.

Best forFrequent flyers who want a carry-on that rollsBusiness travelers mixing a laptop bag and a weekend bagOwners of other Tumi Alpha pieces adding to the setTravelers who prefer soft-sided bags over hard shells
Pros
  • Ballistic nylon and leather trim hold up to airport handling
  • Wheeled duffel shape rolls instead of being carried on one shoulder
  • Carry-on sized for most major airlines
  • Multiple handles and a top opening make it easy to lift and pack
  • Part of the Alpha Bravo line, so add-on bags and accessories match
Cons
  • At $477 it costs more than most soft carry-on duffels
  • Two wheels, not four spinner wheels, so it tips when pushed upright
  • Soft sides offer less protection for fragile contents than a hard case
  • Heavier empty than a non-wheeled duffel of the same capacity
