Our take on the TUMI Voyageur Yoga Sling

The TUMI Voyageur Yoga Sling is a nylon-and-leather sling bag built to carry a yoga mat up to 26 inches wide along with a water bottle and small essentials. Its removable G-hook strap doubles as a separate mat strap, and the main compartment has a wipeable lining plus a fid-lock and hidden magnetic closure. It weighs 0.7 kg and measures 66.5 cm wide, so it is long and flat rather than a bulky tote. The only recorded price is $237.00 at TUMI as of October 29, 2026, so there is no lower recent price to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the TUMI Voyageur Yoga Sling worth $237?
It is worth it if you want one well-made bag that carries a mat, bottle and small items and can double as a mat strap. If you only need a basic mat carrier, cheaper options do the same job.
Does it fit a thick or wide yoga mat?
TUMI rates it for mats up to 26 inches wide, which covers most standard and extra-wide mats. Very thick mats may fit tightly in the sling.
Can I carry the mat without the bag?
Yes. The adjustable strap detaches with G-hooks and can be used on its own as a mat strap.
What fits besides the mat?
A water bottle in the water-resistant zip pocket, plus small items in the main compartment and the back mesh zip pocket with its hidden inner pocket.
What comes in the box?
The Yoga Sling, the removable adjustable strap with G-hooks, and a monogrammable detachable leather charm.
When is it cheapest?
The only recorded price is $237.00 at TUMI as of October 29, 2026. TUMI seasonal sales and end-of-season promotions are the usual times to watch for a lower price.
